Viewing a property, especially when you are a first time buyer, can feel a bit intimidating.
It’s worth doing a little preparation ahead of your viewing appointment and having a few useful questions ready to ask the agent.
Gathering information as a buyer will enable you to make a more informed decision before you make an offer.
An estate agent should welcome any questions from prospective buyers and be able to answer during the viewing. If it’s a more detailed question, then the agent should find the answer and, where possible, contact the buyer that same day.
Here are four unusual questions buyers have been known to ask estate agents:
- Do the pets/plants come with the property?
- Is there a chance that the property is haunted?
- Would I be allowed to paint the outside of the house?
- Can I stay over before I put an offer in?
