The first 2019 edition of Treloar’s Today magazine – sponsored by Homes Estate Agents – is now published and available in all our offices.
You’ll probably be familiar with the name Treloar School & College, but you may not fully appreciate just what an extraordinary place it is.
Read about all the great initiatives Treloar’s is involved in, to continue enhancing the education and life experiences of their students. All of them have severe physical disabilities but, at Treloar’s, these potential obstacles are simply turned into opportunities.
Some of these highlights are –
- New Outdoor Learning Centre
A £1 million project to provide learning in horticulture, animal husbandry and also to create a ‘green area’ for sensory and science activities – target opening in 2020. - Student Round-Up
Check out the achievements of the students, with 5 of them winning awards in the 2018 Unique Arts Awards, groups going sailing in the Solent, Sophie auditioning with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Harry and Emily off to the ski slopes! Nothing’s impossible here…! - Transforming Lives
Some of the current projects Treloar’s is raising funds for include the Jaco Robotic Arm which will help some students to do simple everyday tasks, such as picking up a drink and switching on the kettle. There’s also the installation of Smart Home Technology with Amazon Alexa and Apple Home. - Calendar of events 2019
Check out the many events which Treloar’s are organising this year and where you can get involved to make a difference – Talks, Walks, Runs, Plant Sales, Golf, Cycling, Sports Events, Dinners and there’s even a ‘Secret Mid-Summer Banquet’ being held at a truly amazing location … not far from here!!
